Authorize steven slate drums 4 64 Bit#
I tried opening logic to do it in Logic but Logic doesn't even recognize Slate digitial it doesn't give me the option (in 32 bit AND 64 bit mode) to select SSD even though the AU is clearly in the component folder.

Obviously I'm going to be writing into support and calling them but they are closed until tomorrow so i will rant. Now i'm staring down the barrel of a $300 loss when I was really hoping for some sick drums.
Authorize steven slate drums 4 license#
I opt for the license file, hoping i can re-load ableton with the vst once I choose the license file in the AU version. I can see the "Select License File" and "Select Base Dir" options once again. Plugin opens fine, settings tab is staring me in the face. Now the only track is the SSD 4.0 Ableton AU track. this time clearing out all my default tracks. I reload ableton again (still no vst in vst folder as it causes ableton to crash). At this point I restart my computer thinking maybe that will do something. Upon re-opening ableton, i thought to myself "well maybe i need to tell it the directory first." So i reload the plugin and when I click to locate base directory GUESS WHAT ! Spinning beach ball. The plugin opened fine but when i clicked under settings to find my license, the beach ball of crud popped up and i had to force quit ableton after about 10 minutes of spinning. After a couple rounds of troubleshooting the solution was to move the vst out of the vst folder, open ableton, then open the AU version. This is a pretty common issue I guess, the litte SSD popup comes up and says "you don't have a license file, be sure to locate a license file using the settings" and you press okay and then ableton acts like it is about to load and the dreaded box of death comes up telling you ableton needs to be closed. The downloads went quickly enough and unzipped flawlessly, and the installer ran smoothly which was nice, but after installing and moving everything to proper position (license file into library folder, vst in vst folder, au in components) the VST obviously causes Ableton Live to crash upon starting. Okay well i picked up SSD 4.0 Platinum today and so far things havent gone very well. SLATE DIGITAL - MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE WORTH READING
